In response to a need expressed by agricultural community banks, IBMC initiated an Agricultural program in 1991.  The intent then was the same as it is today, to provide an outlet to Ag bankers that offers flexible long term fixed rate agricultural real estate lending products at competitive pricing.  This allows the bank to remove interest rate risk from its balance sheet while retaining their relationship with the Ag customer for operational needs.  IBMC has established outlets with several investors which leads to more flexible terms and pricing.  As an all-inclusive benefit, IBMC conducts the application, performs the appraisal, and prepares the entire closing package.  Following funding, IBMC then maintains the servicing of the loan for the investor, allowing for continuity of the relationship with the Ag customer.
